Hi! I'm Lala
I'm the founder of The Ruff House and a VSA-Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Fear Free Certified Professional,
Pet Saver, and SF SPCA Advanced Behavior Volunteer.
My approach begins with the dog's point of view. I consider their behavior, body language, emotions, environment, and life experiences to better understand what they may be communicating and what they need from us.
My philosophy is force-free, science-based, and centered on positive reinforcement. I don't use aversive tools, fear, or intimidation. I work thoughtful training that respects each dog as an individual.
Whether I'm training, walking with them, or caring for a dog in my home, the philosophy is the same: observe first, understand the dog's point of view, and meet them where they are.
Because being your dog's bodyguard means more than keeping them physically safe. It means advocating for them, respecting their boundaries, and helping them feel safe and understood in a world built for humans.
The Ruff House is a registered and fully insured San Francisco business, born from the love of the dog who inspired it all.
